NLXL has collaborated with Job Smeets and Nynke Tynage of Studio Job to produce the Archives collection. From their library of images and icons, 7 designs were selected and adapted for NLXL's trademark '9 metre no repeat' wallpaper collection reflects a retrospect of the history of Studio Job. They used archetypical drawings and these universal symbols are combined as iconographic elements for patterns and compositions, ultimately creating 7 designs: Industry, Labyrinth, Perished, Alt Deutsch, l’Afrique and Withered Flowers, the latter in black & white and in color.

These patterns, icons and compositions were originally created amongst others for their own work and projects in design, art & fashion. Studio Job founders Job Smeets and Nynke Tynage, have totally modernised applied arts, their work is at once opulent, intricate, comic, primitive and extremely ornimented- it has echoes of William Morris's arts and crafts movement in its high level of craftsmanship. Studio Job have won numerous design awards and have been added to over 40 international museum collections as well as being highly sort after by private collectors Industry Wallpaper is part of the Archives Collection, one of 8 eclectic wallpapers produces in collaboration with NLXL, all of Studio Job's Archives collection have been produced with out repeating any of the images. The Studio Job iconography is at once heraldic and cartoonlike, expressive and yet somehow primitive. Their style is placed within an enigmatic, intellectual framework by the number and complexity of symbols and signifiers it conveys.
 Studio Job’s work is widely collected both in the private and public sectors. Their designs have been shown in the important galleries, fairs and are included in more than 40 international museum collections. Although, by definition, their work has primarily been geared towards collectors and museums, Studio Job has collaborated successfully with various likeminded brands eg. Bisazza, Bulgari, Land Rover, L’Oréal, Maharam, Moooi, Rizzoli, Swarovski, Venini and Viktor & Rolf. There have been solo exhibitions in eg. New York, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Paris, Amsterdam, London, Milan, Geneva, Miami, Shanghai and Basel.
