Abraham Menendez has created his own brand, known as Abe the Ape. His shrewdness and individuality are translated into his art and are clearly visible in the characters he illustrates. Evoking nostalgia and the use of bright colours and vintage style are some of the elements attributed to his ceramics.
Abraham is inspired by the American movies of the 1950s; the style of the Mid-century and Iriving Pen’s fashion photography. He uses them as a reference throughout his work. However, in the designs that he has created for the Anima collection, it is nature which plays the biggest role and proves to be another strong element of inspiration for Abraham. It is here, according to the artist, that he finds his imagination can work without limits and forever discovers a new species of plant or animal during the creative process.
His four designs represent wildlife from a angle of colour and good humour with images of swans, ducks, artificial paradises and stories from Tokyo and a nod to retro styling.
This is an easy-to-hang, paste-the-wall wallpaper. So you should easily be able to hang it in half the time it would take when hanging regular paste-the-paper wallpaper.
We would also recommend ordering a sample for a true colour match.
